  13. The "Thought for Today" is one of the opening displays that are
  14. shown if this feature has been activated.
  15.  
  16. To activate "Thought for Today," you must have a Forum Area that
  17. has a directory name of "THOUGHT."  The command key and the real
  18. description is not important, and it does not matter what LEVELS
  19. of permission you give to this area.  As long as this area exists
  20. and has at least one message, then this feature will work.

  22. To create this "THOUGHT" Forum Area...
  23. From the main menu, select [S]ystem Access and choose [F]orum
  24. Setup.  Next, you want to add a new area.  When asked for the
  25. Area Key Command, use any key that is not already used (we
  26. (suggest the ! key).  If you plan on allowing callers to access
  27. this area, you might want to use a description other than
  28. "Thought for Today" if you are going to have jokes or other
  29. things in this area.  The directory name must be "THOUGHT" or it
  30. will not be displayed automatically as the "Thought for Today"
  31. when callers logon.

  33. To activate the "THOUGHT" Forum Area...
  34. After creating this area, logon locally and select this Forum
  35. Area and [P]ost a message.  Messages that exist in this area are
  36. rotated for display at each logon.
